Hi, I’m Liz
After over 15 years working in ABA, I have worked with individuals from ages 2 to 87, focusing on helping children and young adults integrate into their communities and lead fulfilling lives.
After earning my master’s in social work from the University of Oklahoma, I began my path to becoming a Licensed Behavior Analyst, completing my graduate degree at the University of Massachusetts - Lowell in 2011.
I believe a strengths-based perspective is key to each person’s success and I am especially passionate about incorporating neurodivergent-affirming practices into the field of ABA. I always begin by asking and finding the answers to, “What do you love?” and “What do you like to play?” This approach fosters meaningful connections and broadens the individual's interests, promoting skill development. A naturalistic teaching method employs a play-based strategy, embedding learning opportunities within play. Engaging the learner and creating an enjoyable experience are crucial for fostering intrinsic motivation and ensuring success.
My work directly supports children and adults with autism, Down syndrome, developmental disabilities and individuals with complex genetic conditions, often alongside mental health diagnoses.I also have extensive experience working with children and adults who exhibit demand avoidance.
